The Carolina Panthers completed their 2008 NFL Draft in the seventh round with three more picks.  The final two picks (241 and 250 overall) were compensatory picks awarded by the league for players lost prior to the 2007 season.

Hilee Taylor, DE, North Carolina, 6’3″, 242 lbs.

He’s listed on the draft board as a defensive end but will likely be an outside linebacker at

the next level.  He could wind up being a special teams contributor.

Geoff Schwartz, OL, Oregon, 6’7″, 335 lbs.

The long and short of it with Schwartz is that he is a good run blocker but has bad feet making him weak at pass blocking.  He’ll probably struggle to make the roster.

Mackenzy Bernadeau, G, Bentley, 6’4″, 298 lbs.

Here’s a player who, if he makes the team, will probably always be referred to as Mackenzy Bernadeau from tiny Bentley College.  He improved when moved inside to the guard spot and away from tackle.  He could be another player who will struggle a bit to make the final 53-man roster.
