With the economy on the fritz and gas prices on the rise, it might be a good time to take on that

second career.  Here’s your chance!

SF&B (that’s Stadium, Food and Beverage) is hiring at Bank of America Stadium and they’re looking to fill several positions.

Stadium Food and Beverage will hold a job fair at Bank of America Stadium on Tuesday, June 3 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The food, beverage and merchandise provider for the Carolina Panthers and Bank of America Stadium, Stadium Food and Beverage is seeking staff to work during the 2008 football season.

Game day and seasonal positions are available in merchandise retail locations, concessions department, kitchen, warehouse, luxury suites, bars, markets and restaurants. A complete list of positions and job descriptions will be available at the job fair.

Qualified candidates must be available to work all Carolina Panthers home games and other stadium events, which include some weekends, nights and holidays. A commitment to work eight to 10 hours on game days is required. Offers will be made to candidates based on experience and availability, and the pay rate depends on the position. Those hired will not be able to watch any of the games due to the job responsibilities.

Parking for the job fair will be available in lower lot #5 off of Graham Street.

What do they ask you at a job fair when hiring someone to wash dishes?

SF&B Representative:  Do you have experience and do you have a resume?

Job Seeker:  I need experience to wash dishes and a resume?

SF&B Representative:  Yes, we need your references also.

Job Seeker:  My mom could call you.  I used to wash the dishes regularly at home.  Oh, and my wife/husband (I don’t want to be sexist here) can always tell you I’m good with a sponge and some Dawn Detergent.

SF&B Representative:  I’m not sure that will suffice.  Thank you for your interest.

I’m sure at that point, the applicant can leave the premises since they don’t have a resume that reads, “Seeking placement and advancement in the exciting and fulfilling field of culinary and domestic technology.”
