Break Out The Shovels

AUTHOR: Kenny Perkins | IN: Panthers | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

If you are a fan of the Carolina Panthers go ahead and break out your shovel because this team is six feet under.  The game against the Cowboys on Monday Night Football was a pathetic attempt to play the game.  Where do you start?  Do you throw all the dirt on the defense or the offense or the coaching or the…you get the idea.  Let’s start with the defense.
The Panthers defense is a shell of what it once was.  The only fire on the field last night was Jon Beason and Thomas Davis.  The rest of the defense might as [...]

Devastation in Dallas

AUTHOR: Kenny Perkins | IN: Panthers | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The Carolina Panthers will be going down to the big “D” for game three against the Dallas Cowboys.  A fantastic new scoreboard will probably get more attention than the game itself.  By the third game, Dallas will be ready to win at home again but it will not happen on our watch.  Carolina and Dallas will be in the national spotlight on Monday Night Football.  Smash and Dash (Williams and Stewart) will turn up the volume for the big show.  If the Panthers do lose to the Falcons they will be hungry and wanting to avoid embarrassment in primetime.
Final Score:  [...]

Off to the Big D

AUTHOR: Kenny Perkins | IN: Panthers | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Carolina Panthers are rolling into Dallas tomorrow night to take on the team with the billion dollar stadium.  Can I just say…I couldn’t give a rat’s butt how much their stadium cost.  I know Jerry Jones is happy with his new baby.  The king of marketing will sit on his throne and watch his minions play in his new palace.  I’ve never been wild about the Cowboys and never will be.
Before I started following the Panthers I was a die-hard Redskins fan (explains my hatred for the Cowgirls).  This year is tough on me mentally.  I figured that if [...]

Not So “Power” Rankings

AUTHOR: Kenny Perkins | IN: Panthers | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

I was wondering what the Power Rankings looked like for the Carolina Panthers now that they have two losses.  It’s not pretty!
Here are the not-so-power-rankings.
The Panthers have to get more active on defense and special teams to start winning games.  If they don’t wake up soon they are going to be to far down the well to climb out.
Also, Antwon Burton signed with the Panthers this week to try and fix the defensive tackle problem.  I am truly amazed how one player going down in training camp can cause so much chaos.  If you want to read more about Burton’s [...]

Show Him The Door

AUTHOR: Kenny Perkins | IN: Panthers | COMMENTS: 7 Comments

After reading some of the comments from our last entry it got me thinking.  If you were going to get rid of one person out of the Panthers organization who would it be?  Your choices are:
1)  Jake Delhomme
2) Julius Peppers
3) John Fox
Leave your comment and vote.  This should be interesting!

Falcons Peck Out Panthers Eyes

AUTHOR: Kenny Perkins | IN: Gameday, Panthers | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

Well, this week was better than last, but we needed to walk away with a win and it didn’t happen.  The Atlanta Falcons bested the Carolina Panthers on defense.  Defense was the difference in the game.  I stated last week that our special teams needed to play better and again today they made silly mistakes.
Today I decided to let someone else breakdown the game.  Allyson Dalton will be contributing articles to CatCrave.com and here is her assessment of today’s game:
Where Was the Defense?
Thumbs up for Jake Delhomme today 25/41, 308 yds, 1 TD and a INT very good come back [...]

Who Can Lead Us?

AUTHOR: Kenny Perkins | IN: Panthers | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

I went to YouTube to check out opinions of Panther nation.  I found a video that best states the way most Panther fans feel about our quarterback dilemma.  Enjoy this video from Nick “BigNick2700″ Yeoman.

Feeley Agrees to Play for Panthers

AUTHOR: Kenny Perkins | IN: Breaking News, Panthers | COMMENTS: None Yet

According to ESPN NFL, quarterback A. J. Feeley has agreed to terms with the Carolina Panthers to play at backup.  Feeley, a 32-year-old veteran of nine NFL seasons, was released by the Eagles on Sept. 6. He has also played for the Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers, mostly as a backup, though he has had some success against the Patriots in his career.

Kanye, Serena and Lady Gaga

AUTHOR: Kenny Perkins | IN: Fanzone/Tailgating, Panthers | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Who could take the place at quarterback for Jake Delhomme?  Great question.  Glad you asked.  Here are my top 3 picks for Jake’s replacement:
#3 – Kanye West
We think Kanye could be good at QB because he likes to take control.  Heck, the Panther O-line would probably block for Kanye just because he has a direct line to Jesus.  And the Panthers could start a whole new revenue stream.  Does anybody remember the Chicago Bears Super Bowl Shuffle?

#2 – Serena Williams
Her quote says it all:  “I swear to God I’m [expletive] going to take this [expletive] ball and shove it down [...]
