Hi Chris, thank you for commenting at Cat Crave!

Though I am a fan of the Panthers, I do follow the Eagles as a "local team," being that I live in the area.

Right now, I believe Fox's future could hinge on the outcome of this season. However, it could very well be that regardless of the outcome, management/ownership decides to move in a new direction. While I appreciate and respect John Fox for what he's brought to Carolina, I'm not totally against a change--if it's warranted.

Right now there is room to speculate that Fox should (in a sense) be fearing for his job, with the every-other-year of winning seasons. 2009 was the first season where a winning season was followed by a break-even .500 season.

Under Fox, overall the team has been very disciplined on and off the field. Bill Cowher brings the same style of coaching, but a little more aggressive and not as reserved as Foxy's style.

When I compare Big Red and Fox, offensively, they are exact opposites. Reid loves the passing game and often, while Fox prefers more of the grind-it-out running game. I prefer more of an even mix, personally.

I love Philly's acquisition of Leonard Weaver last year; I know he's going to do big things for the Birds. I also liked their move to get Daryll Tapp this year. They need to do some tweaking with the offensive line, and they'll be in better shape. And I love the McNabb trade. I don't exactly agree with what team they traded him to, but putting him elsewhere and giving Kolb a chance was huge.

Back to topic, I don't hate John Fox at all. He is the winning-est and longest-tenured head coach in Panthers history. And there's a reason for that. Among other things, the Super Bowl appearance in the early part of his career with the Panthers. His coaching style at times may seem antiquated, but even in today's NFL are still VERY effective.

Thanks for the read and comment, Chris; stop by ANY time!

I do have to say that as an Eagles fan, I do think John Fox will be done after the end of 2010. I think the leading candidate would be Bill Cowher. He lives in the Raleigh area, so it wouldn't be far if he wanted to run home for some relaxation and he could be close to his family. But I also think he has always dreamed of coaching the Giants which could be a very real possibility also if the 2010 season is a disappointment up in NY. I just don't understand why everyone dislikes John Fox as much as they do? I understand the uprising in Carolina last year when the season was falling apart and Delhomme was still kept in to do even more damage. But i do think he is a great coach and does some things that most coaches nowadays no longer do, run the ball and are good at it. That is a bright part of the Panthers right now. But then I look at Andy Reid who runs my team like a Nazi. I do like Andy Reid, don't get me wrong, I just think it is time for hilly to go a different direction than Andy. This has nothing to do with the McNabb trade. I think that trade was one of the best things this team has done in a long time. Hopefully Asante Samuel will join another team during the draft. But I would love to have John Fox come in and coach the Eagles. I would love to see us run the ball with LeSean McCoy and Mike Bell. Mix in some Weaver and things would be great on the ground. This would then open a lot more offense through the air with some of the better receivers in the league right now. I am just tired of Andy Reids system and I think the Eagles fans need a change and would love to wrap my arms around smash mouth football. Passing almost 70% of a game is becoming very predictable and teams are planning for the Eagles accordingly which isn't very hard. i miss the days when we actually ran a power back on 3rd and 2. We would run the ball instread of praying that McNabb didn't throw a grounder which usually happened. The time for change is all around starting with the big guy...
