But “I like the uniforms?” That’s like saying I want to go to the University of Texas because I like the school’s colors, or it’s mascot. I would have been more receptive to his desire to play in Carolina had he said something along the lines of I like the style of offense the Panthers run. Or I’d love to play on the same offense as Steve Smith. Whatever. But, “I like their uniforms.”

I don’t blame anyone for wanting to be within commuting distance from home. I don’t have an issue with that. I don’t have an issue with the guy wanting to play against his former team twice a year. But give us something with substance, please? Something more than I like their uniforms.
