Panthers Tender RFA’s

Just a really quick note for now, regarding the tenders received by the Panthers’ Restricted Free Agents.

Carolina placed first- and third-round tenders on Matt Moore and Thomas Davis.

The Panthers also placed second-round tenders on CB Richard Marshall, TE Jeff King, and DT Louis Leonard.

Players who received original-round tenders were LB James Anderson (third-round), DT Tank Tyler (third-round), and CB C.J. Wilson (seventh-round).

Finally, there were a few players who at this time, Carolina opted not to tender, and place back on the free agent market. Safety Quinton Teal, Tackle Rob Pettiti, and placekicker Rhys Lloyd.

Since Carolina did not offer any qualifying offers to Teal, Pettiti, and Lloyd, these three will most likely become unrestricted free agents on Friday, and be free to sign with any team that has generated interest.

Release and done, that's what I prefer as well

Eric, let's get to the real story. The Panthers just released Jake. It's about time, now let's get to some real ball. That frees up some money right there, but I have a bad feeling they might resign him

You think so Mike? I guess that is an option. In a way it 's a smart move that they released him, so they won't have to pay as much. Personally, I like the idea of release and be done, but we'll keep an eye on what happens.

Very interesting news, though.
