Some say he is better than Clausen so he could be an insurance if we keep him. Hunter will be safe if we place him on the practice squad but the Bengals will nab up Pike. I find it highly unlikely they carry only two. I think who they carry will really come down to who they think would clear waivers. Since Pike is considered a legit talent around the league, although a year or so away, I don't think it will be him headed for the practice squad if they decide not to keep 4 active. If Cantwell is "odd man out," he would most likely clear waivers to the practice squad. Not so sure Tony Pike would, given that his main downfall is that thanks to an NFL rule, he's a couple weeks behind. A team like New England or a team with decent depth at QB would be glad to bring him in and let him learn the system.
