Yeah this guy hasn't gotten to do much but thems the breaks some times.

I know it's trendy to snicker at the Panthers for the lack of spending but I see a method to their madness. If we get a season next year and the cap is in the neighborhood of what the experts are saying the Panthers will have 60-70 million to spend. And it could be more. If there is a next season we got an awful lot of young, real good, guys we are going to have spend a lot of money on. So when you look at what they have done here they may have done what everyone said they couldn't - find a way to resign all the young stars they need to.

I hear ya, Evan. That's what was stated on the original piece I found out about this on; The top free agent signings throughout the NFL, and Francisco was the Panthers' big-name free agent signing this year. That says a LOT about...well, a lot of things.

I've got my fingers crossed in the meantime that Francisco either recovers enough to participate and make a dent against the Steelers, or that someone finally stands out between now and the regular season.

Good read, Eric. When your highest profile free agent may not make the team, you know you didn't make much of a splash in free agency. Let's hope that this group of young, no-name players can surprise some people, (including, me, I guess).
