I've always been a believer of not setting myself up for disappointment. My downside is, I'm out of the viewing area by a long-shot, so I don't have the luxury of actually watching a game on television. I can listen online, which is better than nothing, but then I'm at the mercy of whatever the announcer says.

On that note, the O can prove me wrong at anytime. I don't take a whole lot of stock in preseason; same as I take little-to-no stock in preseason power rankings or mock drafts. It's all fantasy stuff, IMO. Bring on the regular season when this all actually means something is my stance.

You know I have to disagree with a couple of things here.

First the lack of production is a combination of those missing starters, you may as well add in Williams as little as he played, and the fact that this was a four week tryout not only for wideouts but also the return game and the offensive line.

Second I feel pretty good about Jarrett he actually got some separation and if he hadn't been overthrown he'd have a couple of TDs. Plus he made some good grabs.

Something that came out of this last game in particular is a better look at Armanti. Yes he's a project. Yes he probably could have been had later but I have a feeling by this time next season we won't be as worried about all that. He gives our wildcat, I mean Mountaineer, set an added dimension. And he made some good grabs as well.

I feel a lot better about the O than you do I guess. Hopefully I am not being overly optimistic.
