Yeah Jay we have some real winners as fans around here. I too have seen those calls, not on this blog so far, but in lots of places. And yes it is silly. I think it comes from still being relatively new to this. Remember the NY fans have a 60 year head start on us. Also with so many transplants that home grown loyalty isn't there. I think we will see a more patient and learned fan base when the kids who have grown up with the Panthers make up the majority of it.

I would like Moore to sit but only due to concerns for his health. As I said above to me a concussion should mean one week of not getting hit but 300 lb guys. Just seems like common sense. I have been a athletic program AD and that was always my rule. If one of our kids got a concussion he sat next week, no exceptions. I would rather lose a game than permanently injure someone. One is forgotten in a couple of weeks the other is for life. I can make that decision in my sleep.

Ummmm...Jay...you got me, man. I have no argument whatsoever. Aside from most everything you mentioned, I think it's safe to say that most likely everyone here on the Cat Crave staff, has no problem with keeping Moore as the starter...for now, anyway. I personally have no problem keeping the guy as the starting QB for the rest of the season, as he's earned it. He's done his time behind Delhomme, and he's also the "most experienced" QB on the roster. Let Clausen learn the offense from the sideline, get some new coaches in after this year (though I like DC Ron Meeks and DL coach Brian Baker), and let's see what the future holds for Carolina. Right now this team has the potential to be a +.500 team. But a lot of areas need to step their games up before that's going to happen.

I can’t believe how many panthers fans want to cut Moore off just after one game. I live in NYC and Eli did a bad job too. But no one in NY is saying to bench him. We need to be more loyal. Remember matt has the worst receiving group in the NFC. He has the worst coaching staff when it comes to passing. Plus he was facing a NYG defense. please prove me wrong but this is the gamelan to beat the panthers.....8 man in the box and a safety over the top on Steve smith GAME OVER. We need to mix it up. And no jimmy is not the answer. Matt Moore is.
