Panther's Coaching Staff Taking Shape! 3 New Coordinators!

The Panthers’ coaching staff is really starting to take shape now.  We still have several key positions open considering that Offensive Line Coach Dave Magazu and Wide Receivers Coach Tyke Tolbert have officially jumped ship over to Denver; but here is an overview of the hires that have been made so far:

Head Coach: Ron Rivera

Defensive Coordinator: Sean McDermott
Secondary Coach: Ron Meeks
Assistant Defensive Line Coach/Defensive Quality Control: Sam Mills III

Offensive Coordinator: Rob Chudzinski

Special Teams Coordinator: Brian Murphy

Also with the Denver Broncos keeping their Running Backs Coach there is still a possibility that Jim Skipper may continue to be the Running Backs Coach for the Panthers.

With the new hires and recent departures that leaves us with just a few more positions left to fill.  Some of the bigger needs to shop for still are:

Assistant Head Coach
Linebackers Coach
Quarterbacks Coach
Offensive Line Coach
Running Backs Coach
Wide Receivers Coach
Tight Ends Coach

So who should we seek out next to put the finishing touches on our coaching staff?

Really! Ron your gonna hire a DC that was fired from his previous team due to being completely ineffective! The Eagles were ranked 21st in the league in total defense fpr Christ’s sake!!!????? Not the sort of staement I would want to make as a new head coach. Who else did you interview? Did you interview anyone else?
Chud, on the other hand, is a great hire. This guy has had tremendous success with TE where ever he has been. I think this will be great for King and Rosario. One of them could be the next Shockey or Gates. Both have good hands and are good route runners. This will help open the field up for Smitty and Allow Jimmy to have another option to throw to.
Murphy will turn out to be a good hire I think once we get the right people on special teams. Not a whole lot to work with right now.

But he wont’ be asked to run his own defense, he will be asked to run Riveras. Defensive coordinator is not the big need here as Rivera will implement his style on that side of the ball. Anyone as DC only needs to be able to coach and follow instructions.
