First of all, let me start by saying as a native of the Tarheel State, Thank You sincerely for giving us a NFL team, and not only that, a team we can be proud of.
Secondly, I will point out that I personally have tried to say away from the rhetoric of “He doesn’t care about the team….he is a greedy owner” and so forth. I will continue to regard you with the respect you deserve.
Now. Allow me to speak bluntly for a moment or two. These are my words of caution. You are losing the support of your fans. It is that simple. We have a new Coach and look forward to a new season, and now we are hearing that you are hindering the CBA talks that need to be settled right away so that we, the Fans, (The source of income) will begin spending our money and supporting our team.
Let me put it like this.
For the 2009 Season, our rivals The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in a similar situation that we are and have been facing. Young Team, New Coach, etc. etc. etc.
The Buccaneer fanbase has been a very loyal one, even during the 2009 season, when they went 3-13. But in 2010, they began to feel the bite in their attendance. I wager that if you continue. We may fall from 6th place on that list as well. And the way things are looking, you can count on seeing a lot of empty seats on Sunday, if there is a season at all.
Mr. Richardson, I caution you now. Carolina Panther fans have always been loyal to you and held you in high regard and with respect. But I warn you, It is dwindling fast.
So I end with this.
Remember who has really made this franchise a success. The Fans. And we are not very happy right now.
