Let me get this straight…Cam Newton will “Shatter” last years passing record by inserting Gettis into the lineup in place of Naanee? I’ve been a Cam fan since Auburn but he’ll be lucky if he hits the 4,000 mark again next year. Have you ever heard of game film? I’m not so sure about this one. Naanee did drop a lot of passes and isn’t very impressive when it comes to YAC. Steve Smith is absolutely amazing but we have to remember that no player is invincible. If SS goes down we will still need 3 viable wide-outs to maintain a passing threat. Gettis and Lafell no doubt have more to offer then Naanee; my only argument is if Naanee is released we have to consider some sort of insurance policy for the receiving core. Maybe sign on another veteran? or get a receiver high in the draft? I dunno but I do know that if Justin Blackmon somehow falls to us with the 9th pick Legedu is history.
