Luck and RG3 will go 1-2. Washington gets the added bonus of RG3′s sock wardrobe, but what about the other players?
Well, Cleveland just traded up a spot so Trent Richardson will go third overall. The Browns gave up their fourth-, fifth- and seventh-round picks (Nos. 118, 139, 211) in addition to their 4th. To move up one spot. ONE SPOT!
Now the drama waits until the 4th pick.
Guys on the rise:
Mark Barron, SS, Alabama – probably won’t make it to the team that wants him most, the Cowboys. Could go 8th if Miami ixnay’s annehillTay.
Shae McClelin, LB, Boise State – could go in the final third of the first round
Chandler Jones, DE, Syracuse – has been climbing quietly and now could go as high as the top twelve, but probably no earlier than the middle of round one.
Lavonte David, LB, Nebraska – has an outside shot to get into the first round now. Fastest OLB in the draft, but a bit light at 233 lbs.
Guys falling:
Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis – Monster measurables at NFL Combine can’t totally erase average game tape in Conference-USA school.
Quentin Coples, DE, UNC – 2 months ago was thought a lock to the Jags at #7; now being projected in late-teens to 20′s.
Melvin Ingram, OLB/DE, South Carolina – short arms (32″) have pushed him from the #7 slot (after Coples vacated it) down to the second half of round one most likely.
Enough’s enough. Let the draft begin!
