Carolina Panthers are Back in Black

The Panthers announced today on their official twitter page that the team will indeed wear their black uniforms with black pants for the January 12th home playoff game in Bank of America Stadium.  Some of you may remember this uniform won ESPN’s poll for the greatest NFL uniform of all time last year, after only being worn once in the franchise’s history.  The Panthers are still awaiting their opponent for the game.  They have the option of playing the Philadelphia Eagles, the San Francisco 49ers, or the Green Bay Packers.  Should the Saints beat the Eagles they would travel to Seattle and the Panthers would have the winner of the 49ers Packers game.

Those of you looking to find tickets for the game will be out of luck.  Playoff tickets went on sale today and the Panthers sold out all of their seats within the first 3 minutes.  Seems Charlotte is excited to see its Panthers back in the playoffs.  This is a good indication that Bank of America Stadium will be rocking.  Panther Nation is an underrated fan base.  The crowd should provide ample energy for the Carolina Panthers.  The anticipation is killing me.  It’s a shame we have to wait until next weekend to watch our Carolina Panthers return home, where they have only lost 1 game and that was to the number one seed in the NFC, the Seattle Seahawks.  Expect a lot of buzz around the city of Charlotte in the following weeks. Happy New Years everybody and keep pounding on your resolutions!
