5. Gerald McCoy
Four years after the 2010 draft, and the debate about which defensive tackle (Ndamukong Suh) was the best pick is still raging. One thing is clear, McCoy is the top DT in the NFC South. McCoy is coming off his first (First Team) All-Pro selection last year. He accumulated 50 tackles and 9 sacks on a defense that looks to be improving thanks in large part to his leadership on the defensive line. A new coach, Lovie Smith, will bring a simplified attack for the DT; meaning less stunts and moving around and more straight-line rushing (McCoy’s specialty). Seems like McCoy won’t just be on this list in the future, he may be headed to the top of it…and carrying the Bucs to the top of the division along with him.
