The Panthers will utilize the TE position more in 2014.  Olsen is a given, but Ed Dickson is having a rejuvenating camp and Brandon Williams looks to see more time this year as well.

A few Panthers dropped in on a Krispy Kreme shop last night -

Joe Person - The Charlotte Observer :

Edmund Kugbila is heading to New York to undergo spinal surgery to repair cracks in his spinal cord.  Get well soon big guy.

Darin Gantt - :

There was a sideline chocked full of high-salaried players during Sunday’s practice, as 14 players took a day of rest from the oppressive heat and/or rest sore or injured muscles.

Dan Salem - NFL Spin Zone :

The Saints look to be the odds-on favorite to take the NFC Crown away from us this coming season.  We are also predicted to not be as strong within the division as last year.

David Newton – :

Joe Webb is enjoying his time running the read option with the first team offense.  Due to Cam Newton’s injury, Webb has stepped in when the Panthers run this wrinkle of their offense, and has Carolina considering carrying three QBs on the final 53-man roster.

Bryan Strickland - :

Thomas DeCoud is ready to put 2013’s abysmal season in the rear-view, and kick off 2014 in his new home.

Max Henson - :

WR Tavarres King has had a very healthy and productive Training Camp so far, and is looking to put some space between he and the remaining receivers vying for a spot on the 53-man roster.

FF Companion - Cat Scratch Reader :

A very crisp read over at CSR about pulling a Belichick and snagging a recently placed 2013 OT draftee on the waiver wire so that he can go to IR for the year.  It’s a bad rep to have, but could help alleviate our need for a RT as he was mentioned as a darkhorse candidate for rookie-of-the-year last season.

Kony Ealy is ready…. are you Cat Crave Nation?? :

Day nine recap and comments from Panthers’ Training Camp.

D-Lo is ready for a bounce back year and his #34 jersey is a healthy reminder that we are a mere 34 Days from Opening Day vs. the Bucs.  Keep Pounding Cat Crave Nation!
