Here is your second installment of NFL News Around the League:
NFL Concussions are down League-wide. Despite some fans’ ire at the new rules and emphasis on penalties, the NFL has begun to alleviate one of the larger obstacles in place that could keep America’s game from remaining on its throne.
Lions bring in Champ Bailey for Secondary help. Bailey was in New Orleans camp for most of the preseason, but his inability to play for the Saints defensive backfield means the veteran couldn’t make their 53 man roster.
Josh Brent will appeal his 10 game suspension from the League. Now that NT Brent is out of jail (he served 180 days following his vehicular manslaughter conviction that resulted in the death of his friend and teammate, Jerry Brown), he has a 10 game suspension facing him from the League. Brent’s agent vows to appeal, but is that an insensitive move given the circumstances?
Mike Vick agrees to do a radio show during the season. The Backup Jets QB will have a weekly spot on a radio show. What could possibly go wrong?
Jim Kelly is Cancer-Free. The Hall of Fame QB has responded nicely from radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Well wishes from the Cat Crave team!
Andre Brown joins a list of Free agents that have been tagged with suspensions. The former NC State product will have difficulty catching on with a team at this rate. It is still unclear why the running back has been suspended for half the game.
