Previewing Texans and Panthers

The playoff-bound Houston Texans will face off against the Carolina Panthers, who are forced to play the spoiler role as the season winds down. The Texans are striving for a playoff bye at 10-3, and they will host the Carolina Panthers in Houston, Texas today at 1:00 PM eastern time. The Panthers are 4-9 and are looking to carry some momentum into the 2012 season with a win here. An upset against the Texans would be huge for a team that could easily be closer to .500 right now. In fact, their expected record is 6-7 when looking at point differential, so a lot of bad luck has hurt this club.

Time for Some Clarity

With all the signings and cuts made in the past two days, the NFL seems to be complete chaos. Most of all, the Carolina Panthers have made some moves, and some MOVES. Jerry Richardson has opened his pocket book and welcomed back all that we love about Carolina: Charles Johnson, DeAngelo Williams, and James Anderson. Not to mention that Jon Beason, Thomas Davis, and Steve Smith are all staying.

As with any free agency, rumors are spreading like wildfire. Nnamdi Asomugha(spelled that without looking it up) is going to the Texans. Kyle Orton is going to the Dolphins. All these rumors may prove to be factual, but as of now they have no truth. There are a couple of rumors and other changes made by the Panthers I feel the need to talk about. Report: Delhomme to be released. Carolina in his future?

The Panthers have made it public that they would like to sign a veteran to help bring Jimmy and Cam along at quarterback.

According to Jason La Canfora, Delhomme will be released from the Browns. Does this mean that Delhomme might end up back at Carolina, this time in a mentoring role?
