Carolina Panthers steamroll Tampa Bay Buccaneers

As Pewter Plank assistant editor Josh Hill and I predicted in our previews (separate links “our” and “previews”), the Carolina Panthers wouldn’t have much trouble dispatching their rivals. They didn’t, and the Bucs had no chance in a 48-16 victory for Carolina. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers really looked out of place, and Raheem Morris’s tenure with the team is likely over. His contract runs out after next season, and he will be a lame-duck coach if the team doesn’t give him an extension. I doubt that happens, and I also doubt that the Bucs will allow him to be a lame-duck coach. I hate to say it, but it looks like Morris is out.

Previewing Bucs and Panthers

This Christmas Eve preview between the Carolina Panthers and their hated rivals in Tampa has a different twist. Josh Hill and I teamed up, and we each asked eachother questions about this game. Hill is the assistant editor at the Bucs’ FanSided site The Pewter Plank, and his proficiency is also demonstrated on the Chicago Bulls NBA FanSided site Pippen Ain’t Easy (he is the senior editor over there). It was an honor teaming up with Hill for this special rivalry preview, and he asked me eight questions. You can view my answers on TPP here , and I followed up by asking him just four, very lengthy questions solely about today’s game. Hill, of course, took it a step further with his octet and asked me specific questions. I really hope you guys take a look at it, because it is very in-depth and has a lot more Cam Newton related discussion. Without further adieu, on to the questions answered by Josh!

Slate’s Love/Hate for Week 4 Fantasy Football

Sorry about missing last week’s post on my Love/Hate. I was caught up with some things with school and was unable to post anything.

But, here we are entering Week 4. The normal players are putting up outstanding numbers (See Welker, Brady, McFadden, and Megatron). Though, there are some other players that are producing from under the radar (See Olsen, D. Henderson, Daniel Thomas). This week should produce some amazing numbers as the better players are going against weak defenses, and major players are hurt (See Miles Austin and Marques Colston).
