Dallas TV station WFAA reported this morning that Bryant allegedly got in a heated argument with his Mom – his MOM, goodness! – and grabbed her by the shirt and slapped her in the face with a ball cap.

I recall the character questions around him when he entered the league…”I’ll be fine,” he said. “I don’t want to be a distraction,” he said, as he refused to carry veterans’ shoulder pads off the practice field, a long NFL “hazing” tradition.

While nobody could have or SHOULD have predicted something like THIS, more often than not college players who enter the league with “issues” following them rarely play a career without more “issues” following them. This one is a doosie for public relations, if “only” the charge of misdemeanor domestic violence results in any case.

Unfortunately, the NFL players themselves are keeping the time between the NFL draft and the team training camps interesting.

I would like to begin by apologizing for the lack of consistency on the website as of the past week. Most of the writers here, including myself, are students, and right now is finals week. So, within the next week we should have everything back to normalcy, or whatever we consider normal here at CatCrave.

That being said, last week was one heck of a week for fantasy. Steve Smith looked terrible, mainly because of the constant double coverage. The depth of the league has shrunk since Week 1, and it’s becoming harder to find talent to replace an injury, or replace poor performance. Well this week, I have a few players that are worth picking up, to go along with my usual LOVE/HATE list. (more…)

But, here we are entering Week 4. The normal players are putting up outstanding numbers (See Welker, Brady, McFadden, and Megatron). Though, there are some other players that are producing from under the radar (See Olsen, D. Henderson, Daniel Thomas). This week should produce some amazing numbers as the better players are going against weak defenses, and major players are hurt (See Miles Austin and Marques Colston).
