1) Atlanta Falcons – Only undefeated team in the NFL at this point is undefeated for a reason
2) Chicago Bears – Their single loss, a blowout, came early to the Packers
3) Houston Texans – Their single loss, a blowout, came recently to the Packers
4) New York Giants – Coughlin’s got them thinking “Repeat!”
5) San Francisco 49′ers – The NFL’s most fundamentally sound team
6) Denver Broncos – Peyton has this team on the rise and Dumervil/Miller made him forget Mathis/Freeney
7) Baltimore Ravens – Unbeatable at home, but mortal on the road
8) Green Bay Packers – The Broncos – North
9) New England Patriots – Only 4-3 but aquired CB Aqib Talib who will behave or be gone
10) Pittsburgh Steelers – Dick LeBeau is finding ways to succeed without Polamalu
11) Miami Dolphins – The defense’s front-seven is largely responsible for their competitiveness
12) Seattle Seahawks – The defense is there, the rookie QB just needs refinement
13) Minnesota Vikings – Falling back to earth a bit after a monster start
14) Indianapolis Colts – Andrew Luck is guiding this offense well and makes the guys around him better
15) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Greg Schiano has this young team on the upswing – finally
16) Detroit Lions – Stafford and an astoundingly good red-zone defense has the Lions finally getting in gear despite Megatron’s struggles
17) Dallas Cowboys – They have a good defense but the offense can’t get it together. Romo needs to stop with the turnovers.
18) Cincinnati Bengals – Just a couple of pieces away from contention
19) Arizona Cardinals – Great D but horrible o-line play and John Skelton is not an answer to anything good
20) St. Louis Rams – another very good defense but the offense lacks punch
21) Washington Redskins – RG3 and the offense can score but the defense lets others score even more
22) Philadelphia Eagles – Vick and Romo are collaborating on an offseason movie “The Turnover Club”
23) Tennessee Titans – CJ2K is finally getting untracked but the defense needs a major overhaul
24) San Diego Chargers – Rivers continues up and down play and the defense was embarrassed by Manning a couple of weeks ago
25) Oakland Raiders – Struggled to start, but appearing to get things headed in the right direction
26) New York Jets – Major issues on both sides of the ball. Injuries have made a mess as well
27) Cleveland Browns – Another team with youth on offense that is starting to gel
28) Carolina Panthers – “Almost” doesn’t count in the NFL or they’d be around .500
29) Buffalo Bills – $100 million spent on Mario Williams can’t get this team out of the 30′s ranking in total D
30) New Orleans Saints – Lots of offense, zero defense, and Darren Sproles is out indefinitely
31) Jacksonville Jaguars – Blaine Gabbert needs a new home. In the Arena League.
32) Kansas City Chiefs – Dontari Poe is the most recent first-round bust for GM Scott Pioli
