Indy won at Jacksonville. Yeah, I picked Indy, take my word for it. Not much of a stretch to believe me there, so I start 1-0 this week. Woot!

Oakland at Baltimore: The Ravens are in the 20-something in defense and are quite vulnerable on the road. Fortunately for them, they got Oakland at home, but Oakland should make this game rather close and have a shot at winning outright. If they were playing in Oakland I’d probably pick the Raiders in a close one. As it is…

Baltimore 27, Oakland 24

Denver at Carolina: Already forecast this one in a separate post. Denver has it all together while Carolina struggles to get there.

Denver 31, Carolina 19

New York Giants at Cincinnati: Both teams have been struggling lately as Eli’s thrown 2 TDs the last 2 games. Cincy’s 3-5 and faded fast after a decent start. I see the Giants getting some of their mojo back this week in Cincy.

New York Giants 34, Cincinnati 17

Tennessee at Miami: This game should get real ugly real fast, as the Titans offense has sputtered to life a little recently but the Dolphins have a very good defense. Their front-seven is as good as anyone’s while they lack depth in the secondary. Tennessee lacks a lot more, and will probably get blown out.

Miami 30, Tennessee 13

Detroit at Minnesota: Some breaking news here – WR Percy Harvin will not play. Look for Adrian Peterson to have yet another 100-yard game, but the Vikings are fading a bit while the Lions are getting things together after a slow start. Two teams heading in opposite directions but this divisional matchup should keep things close.

Detroit 31, Minnesota 27

Buffalo at New England: This Bills team has as good a running attack as anyone but lack of defense and a consistent air attack dooms them in Foxboro today. Leodis McKelvin is moving positions this week, and having to face Tom Brady. I don’t envy Leodis at all…

New England 38, Buffalo 13

Atlanta at New Orleans: This may seem like a possible upset special with Joe Vitt back coaching the Saints, but their defense actually plays worse at home than on the road. I haven’t figured that one out, but it is what it is. Atlanta shouldn’t struggle to run the ball this week.

Atlanta 45, New Orleans 38

San Diego at Tampa Bay: The Chargers are not playing consistently and Philip Rivers needs to keep from turning it over. Tampa Bay rookie RB won’t get 250 yards again, but he should get 100. The Muscle Hamster?

Tampa Bay 31, San Diego 26

New York Jets at Seattle: Seattle is as good a home team as anyone in the NFL – I’ve said that from the start of the season if you want to go back and look. The Jets’ offensive struggles will continue, and Russel Wilson will see to it their defensive struggles do too.

Seattle 27, New York Jets 7

Dallas at Philadelphia: While the entire NFC East struggles, the two teams struggling the most face off in Philly. It’s the Dallas offense that gets it together as Philly loses again.

Dallas 31, Philadelphia 20

St. Louis at San Francisco: The Rams D will feel the heat this week as the Niners’ D keeps the Rams’ O bogged down all day.

San Francisco 34, St. Louis 13

Houston at Chicago: This could be a replay of the GB at Houston game a couple of weeks ago, but Houston should play well. It’ll be interesting to see how Arian Foster runs without Ben Tate to spell him this week.

Chicago 24, Houston 20

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Kansas City at Pittsburgh: Are you kidding me? This is the MNF matchup? Puh-leeze….

Pittsburgh 34, Kansas City 6

Eliminator picks:

Giants over Bengals
Dolphins over Titans
Pats over Bills
Seahawks over Jets
Cowboys over Eagles
Niners over Rams
Steelers over Chiefs
