Okay Panthers fans, we’re one week — one game closer to final cuts, waives, releases (whatever you want to call them) before the final 53-man roster is set to start the regular season. Tuesday was merely one step closer before the final process of going from 75 to 53 takes place in approximately one week.

Some players can breathe a little easier tonight, knowing that they have played well enough or shown enough promise to remain on the team for a little closer observation, as the Panthers trimmed their roster from 80 to the League-required 75. (more…)

The Panthers are stocked at receiver this time around — overstocked, as a matter of fact.

Aside from 10-year veteran Steve Smith, there are 10 unknowns vying for one-of-three remaining roster spots on the receiving corps’ depth chart. (more…)

Well Panthers fans, we along with the rest of NFL fans are just another step closer to training camp, preseason, and then the 2010 NFL regular season. Not bad, considering that up to this point, time has slowly plodded along at the speed of smell.
