After two injury-plagued seasons, Martin was fully healthy in 2008, going on to establish himself as one of the premier pass defenders in the South. He tied the school single-game record and set an NCAA record for most interceptions in a quarter, picking off three passes in the second quarter in the 2008 Alcorn State game.
