Defensive Line: C-

The dominance displayed by the starting group a week ago was absent against Marcus Mariota and the Titans. Mariota began the game with a 20-yard pass, followed by a designed quarterback run for nine yards. Both plays were called by a fan yet the Panthers defense was on their heels.

Pressure was few and far between but veteran returnee Julius Peppers did disclose he’s still plenty capable of getting after the quarterback. A fresh Peppers, given one job, in third-down situations during the regular season is going to be fun to watch.

Defensive tackle Eric Crume was the lone lineman to register a quarterback hit, he had two, but all others were kept out of the Titans backfield.
