Donte Jackson will record another interception

Donte Jackson has had a great year and I would expect that to continue on Thursday night. With four interceptions, he is taking the league by storm. Perhaps even more impressive (especially since he is a Panthers player), he is beginning to get national recognition. He will get even more on Thursday as his swagger and talent will be on full display for the entire country to see.

He recorded an interception in Sunday’s win over the Buccaneers, his first interception  since he grabbed two against the Cincinnati Bengals back on September 23. He also recorded a pass deflection in the game, further showing his ball hawking skills. However, it was not all good news. Per statistics from Pro Football Focus, his 39.3 coverage rating was his worst of the season. Although he made five tackles, he missed two as well. Although there were a lot of good things to come out of Sunday’s performance, there are definitely some things Jackson needs to work on.

With that being said, I predict that Jackson will record one interception on Sunday. Although they may not have the most lethal passing attack, this Pittsburgh Steelers team can get the ball downfield in a hurry. Jackson has been known to capitalize off of opposing quarterbacks mistakes, and I believe that Roethlisberger (with the help of pressure from the defensive line) will make a couple. Although he is only a rookie, Jackson is playing like a veteran.
