Two key factors which have already been displayed this season and serve as one of the main reasons for optimism around this 2018 Panthers team involves their overall attitude and team execution on offense. In the past, Carolina was built to grind – producing clock consuming drives ending in points but this offense can score in a hurry.
Down 17-0 to start the fourth quarter against Philadelphia, the Panthers clawed their way back to a victory. In each loss prior to Thursday, Carolina had a legitimate opportunity late to tie or win the football game and even against Pittsburgh continued to fight.
Carolina has been down 17 at two different times this year and battled back from each in a limited time span. The ability to score in bunches and a “never say die” attitude are dangerous characteristics for any football team and the Panthers have both.
The Week 10 loss was a set back but there remains plenty of reason to believe Carolina is headed for their second consecutive trip to the playoffs this year.
