The fast start on offense last week was quickly erased when cornerback James Bradberry bit on a pump fake and then watched as JuJu Smith-Schuster coasted 75-yards for a touchdown. The game was tied and an ensuing rout had begun.
Carolina gave up 325 yards in the air and five touchdowns. Lions quarterback Matt Stafford is quietly making his own case for the Hall of Fame and shouldn’t be overlooked by the Panthers secondary. Even without receiver Golden Tate, Stafford is dangerous if protected, and has the ability to pick apart the Panthers.
Rookie Donte Jackson was visibly upset on the sidelines after he was beaten by Antonio Brown for a score last week and safety Eric Reid was ejected for an illegal hit on Roethlisberger. Both are important pieces in the Carolina secondary and need to be at the top of their game for a win in Detroit.
The Panthers and Lions kick off on Sunday, November 18 at 1:00pm ET.
