Trey Flowers, DE – Patriots

A former fourth-round pick, defensive end Trey Flowers started all 16 games for the New England Patriots and has developed into a solid pass rusher. Coming off his rookie contract, Flowers is set for a big pay day and while Hurney may not be willing to break the bank, there is no doubt Carolina needs help at his position.

The future of Julius Peppers remains uncertain but the Panthers have already moved on from linebacker Thomas Davis, indicating a change in their reliance on aging veterans. Flowers is a proven pass rusher who would immediately make an impact on defense.

Tallying 21 sacks over the past three years, Flowers finished the regular season with a sack in each of the final three games. Through the current playoffs, Flowers has two sacks and four quarterback hits.
