Christian McCaffrey

Christian McCaffrey was a work horse on Sunday. After struggling a little bit last week, he got right back into a groove. He paced the Carolina Panthers offense throughout the course of the day. He showed his versatility, and he let the Carolina Panthers to feel comfortable with their game plan.

He rushed the ball 24 times for 153 yards and a touchdown. Averaging 6.4 yards per carry, he put the offense in much better positions to sliced  on second down. He was effective out of the backfield as well. He caught three passes for 35 yards, averaging 11.7 yards per catch. This is a performance that was reminiscent of what he accomplished last year. It was great to see him be able to play his game. When he is at his best, he is a multi-faceted threat.

Hopefully, he can continue to put up great numbers. It is a lot to ask of him to continue to carry the offense like this. However, he has shown that he can do it. I can’t wait to see his numbers against Houston on Sunday, and he will certainly have to work hard against a tough defensive line. It will be strength against strength in regards to that matchup.
