6 cornerbacks the Panthers could draft in 2020

A.J. Terrell – (Clemson)
A.J Terrell has been a consistent performer at the college level during his last two seasons at Clemson.
He has a tremendous amount of upside and he has a real chance of being an instant starter in the NFL providing he goes lands with the right defense. Terrell recorded 34 tackles, three pass deflections, and two interceptions in 2019.
This followed a superb 2018 campaign that saw him help Clemson secure a National Championship. Working alongside fellow talented cornerback Trayvon Mullen, Terrell notched 53 tackles, three pass deflections, and three interceptions to play a leading role in the school’s overall triumph in 2018.
He has significant length for a corner at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, with Terrell more than adept at coming off a receiver in zone coverage or getting on the line of scrimmage.
The corner was highly productive during college and he has plenty of experience in big-game situations, which is another thing that will set him apart from others at the position. Terrell also has good instincts and he has the speed to keep up with receivers.
One notable element of Terrell’s play is his elite technique, which is flawless and is sure to be a sure-fire hit in the NFL. He is an excellent prospect who has reportedly left scouts salivating about his potential after seeing him in the flesh at the Combine.
The Carolina Panthers will need help at the cornerback position in the draft and Terrell should be high on their shortlist.
