Carolina Panthers: Full 7-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft
By John Ellis
Another Darryl Williams has the potential to become an offensive lineman with the Carolina Panthers.
He can play both guard and center, which is good versatility to call upon for any team that acquires his services. Williams was a three-year starter in college and plays with a toughness and intelligence that should serve him well on the professional level.
NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein offered the following perspective on Williams in a recent scouting report.
"“Team captain and three-year starter who is short on traits and athleticism but plays with savvy and determination. He wasn’t asked to do much move-blocking in Mississippi State’s rushing attack and could struggle with that request as a pro, but he has upper-body power to wall and seal down-blocks and stalemate opponents as a drive-blocker.
