Draft class of the Carolina Panthers finally take the field

This month will also see the historic draft class of the Carolina Panthers finally take the field during minicamp. The franchise allocated every pick to the defensive side of the ball. And it is going to be extremely interesting to see how each college recruit adjusts to their new surroundings.

Some will be expected to contribute more than others in 2020. So getting off to a good start is imperative. The likes of first-round pick Derrick Brown has huge expectations coming in. And the same also applies to second-round duo Yetur Gross-Matos and Jeremy Chinn.

It is going to be something of a baptism of fire for this particular trio. All could find themselves starting and how they acclimatize in such a short space is going to be pivotal if they want to make an instant impression at the next level.

The Panthers brought in cornerback Eli Apple last week, which takes some of the immediate heat off fourth-rounder Troy Pride Jr. However, this does not detract from the need for the Notre Dame product to fit in right away given the enormous skill set at his disposal.

Fifth-round selection Kenny Robinson and sixth-rounder Bravvion Roy could see time in a rotational role if they impress during camp. And Stantley Thomas-Oliver III will also be looking to make his presence felt with a view to earning a spot on the 53-man roster.
