Mike Remmers – OT

Mike Remmers is no stranger to the Carolina Panthers having played for them during a three-year spell earlier in his career. Things have been up and down since for the offensive lineman. But few would argue he isn’t enjoying something of a renaissance with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020.

The Super Bowl champions have given Remmers plenty of responsibility this season, which has brought out the best in him once again. He has been almost flawless at the right tackle spot during his 709 snaps on the field, conceding four penalties and not giving up a single sack.

This won’t have gone unnoticed by NFL teams looking for help protecting the edge. Kansas City worked miracles to get their top names signed during the season – including a record-breaking contract for star quarterback Patrick Mahomes – but it might mean that veteran players like Remmers might be out of luck.

Whether the player would want a return to Carolina is up for debate. Remmers was part of the 2015 team that won the NFC Championship before falling narrowly short of an elusive first Vince Lombardi Trophy, so this winning mentality would be a significant asset to call upon within a young and relatively unproven roster.

Should this scenario come to pass, then the Panthers would need to move stud lineman Taylor Moton over to the left tackle spot providing they give him a deserved extension.
