2020 team – Los Angeles Rams

Gerald Everett could be one of the youngest options the Carolina Panthers could target in free agency. He is set to play his fifth season next year, while he will also turn 27-years-old in June.

Everett has spent his four seasons in the league with the Los Angeles Rams. He was drafted in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and has caught 127 passes for 1,389 receiving yards and eight touchdowns during his brief career so far.

He even got his first rushing touchdown last season to add yet another string to his bow.

The Rams have used multiple tight ends many times, which has allowed Everett to be a lead blocker and run routes on passing plays. Tyler Higbee was the primary starter last season, so they could look at letting their backup option walk depending on the money involved.

Everett is another quality starter that could find some playing time in the Panthers’ offense. He should easily come in and be a starter if signed and would undoubtedly give Carolina more speed, as he ran a 4.62 on the 40-yard dash – which is 0.1 seconds faster than Ian Thomas.

He still needs some work on being a pass catcher and running routes. But his ability to block coming off the line of scrimmage would be a huge asset and one that would help the Panthers considerably.
