Although the Carolina Panthers lost Curtis Samuel to the Washington Football Team in free agency, the wide receiver room looks much stronger now than it did at the end of the 2020 campaign. There are dynamic playmakers everywhere you look and if quarterback Sam Darnold gets enough protection from the offensive line, then big things could be in the team’s future.

The group is obviously led by D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson, who emerged as one of the league’s top duos last season on their way to 2,298 receiving yards and seven touchdowns between them. Both will hope for similar success in 2021 with more consistent play under center and if they can get into the end zone frequently, the sky is the limit for this offense.

Terrace Marshall Jr. will look to make an immediate impression after Carolina took him No. 59 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. The LSU product is a big play waiting to happen and provides the Panthers with a red-zone presence that’s been sorely lacking on the outside.

Plenty is also expected of David Moore following his free-agent arrival from the Seattle Seahawks. He has a rare ability to impact the game all over the field and also possesses enough speed to stretch things deep should the opportunity arise.

Shi Smith, Omar Bayless, Keith Kirkwood, and Brandon Zylstra will also be aiming to secure a role in Joe Brady’s scheme. So there is a lot to like about Carolina’s options at wide receiver heading into the campaign.
