5 riskiest Carolina Panthers jersey purchases in 2021

Brian Burns – Carolina Panthers DE
Another player that teased a potential number change this offseason was Brian Burns. The stud defensive end posted a photoshop picture of him wearing No. 9 – which he is now eligible to wear – so even though it won’t be happening in 2021 the prospect cannot be ruled out down the line.
Burns wouldn’t have to pay the same amount that was being touted for Christian McCaffrey switching to No. 5, so the possibility is a real one.
That makes buying his jersey a little risky in the long term.
There is a lot to like about Burns’ potential for a superstar-type season in 2021. The former Florida State standout made some incredible strides during his sophomore campaign and with more in the way of defensive weapons around him, the sky is the limit.
Burns possesses the sort of explosiveness that is very rare, even at the next level.
He is now a complete three-down edge player after developing other areas of his game. If Burns can find out how to finish off plays a little better, then there is just no telling what sort of numbers he can put up.
The 2019 first-round pick has the world at his feet. Burns is the undisputed leader of the Carolina Panthers from a defensive standpoint and greatness might just be in his immediate future with further progression this summer.
