5 young Panthers players to keep a close eye on at training camp

Terrace Marshall Jr. – Carolina Panthers WR
The Carolina Panthers have wrapped Terrace Marshall Jr. up in cotton wool during the offseason so far. This is to be expected when one considers the second-round pick is still working his way back from injury, so there isn’t a great deal to go off regarding his transition to the pros as yet.
Carolina is expecting Marshall to be fit and firing on all cylinders by the time training camp rolls around. The former LSU star has a tremendous amount going for him from a physical standpoint, so hopes are high regarding his potential to make a lasting contribution from the outset.
Marshall is fast, physical, and provides the sort of red-zone threat that the Panthers were sorely lacking in 2020. His presence in the lineup could not only offset Curtis Samuel’s departure to the Washington Football Team in free agency, but it might also give Carolina something a little bit different they can utilize.
The wideout’s previous knowledge of Joe Brady’s scheme from the college level only leaves more reasons to be encouraged in Year 1. Marshall needs to avoid any further injury problems, obviously. But if he can, then a big campaign is sure to follow.
Marshall needs to pick things up quickly at training camp and familiarize himself efficiently during preseason games. Having so much quality around him should also assist, so the pressure is off a little from that perspective.
