Matt Paradis – Carolina Panthers C

It’s not been all bad where Matt Paradis is concerned. He’s been a commanding force in run blocking situations and seems to be gelling well with quarterback Sam Darnold, but the veteran could still use an increase in production to assist the Carolina Panthers further in Week 4.

Dan Quinn will know exactly how frail Carolina’s protection is. The defensive coordinator might have failed as a head coach with the Atlanta Falcons, but he’s transformed the Dallas Cowboys into a dominant unit once again in double-quick time.

He’ll be busy scheming up ways to exploit weaknesses. Something Paradis and his offensive line teammates need to be ready for.

According to Pro Football Focus, Paradis has given up one sack and conceded no penalties en route to a 67.0 grade, which isn’t the worst in the world by any stretch of the imagination.

Paradis is in the final year of his deal and it remains to be seen whether his stay in Carolina lasts beyond the current campaign. The offensive line might be the team’s top priority in 2022 judging by their early efforts this season and the Boise State product might be on the outside looking in as a result.

Producing a big performance at the Cowboys and in the weeks to come will help. But that is far from a guarantee.
