Sam Darnold – Carolina Panthers QB

Biases aside, how is Sam Darnold not on more fantasy rosters?

While his stock is rising, the fourth-year quarterback is still available in more than 60 percent of leagues on NFL.com and ESPN and 49% of leagues on Yahoo.

I completely understand the strategy of carrying one quarterback on your roster until bye weeks start. But Darnold ranks fifth amongst all quarterbacks in fantasy this season. It’s time to put respect on this man’s name.

Start or Sit in Week 5?

START.

The Philadelphia Eagles are pretty decent (18th) against quarterbacks in fantasy this season, but Darnold has been on a tear in 2021.

He’s never had less than 18 fantasy points and his performance against the Dallas Cowboys was good enough for 31.54 despite throwing two interceptions. If you don’t have a better option on your roster, get your hands on the former USC star and get him right into your lineup this weekend against a suspect Eagles secondary.
