Lirim Hajrullahu – Carolina Panthers K

Recently signed Lirim Hajrullahu took care of business when he successfully made his only two field-goal attempts from 24 and 29 yards in this 32-6 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Admittedly, the short kicks didn’t look great. But you have to give the former CFL kicker credit for getting points on the board when the rest of his Carolina Panthers teammates couldn’t.

Start or Sit in Week 17?

SIT.

Hajrullahu delivered last week. However, without the benefit of seeing him make in-game kicks 30 yards and beyond, it would be unwise to put the player in your starting lineup with so much at stake.

The Panthers’ defense managed -1 fantasy points against the Buccaneers. But that didn’t surpass their worst performance of -4 that came at the Dallas Cowboys.

The banged-up group will have an easier task against Taysom Hill, but it won’t matter if they can’t stop Alvin Kamara and the New Orleans Saints running game.

Start or Sit Week 17?

Buyer Beware.

Carolina’s defense hasn’t been good in weeks, but I’m still not sure Hill is a real quarterback which makes me like this matchup for the unit.  Hunt for better options if they’re available, but starting the Panthers shouldn’t be costly and might actually be a benefit.
