3 winners and 3 losers from Carolina Panthers’ loss at the Bucs in Week 18

D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR
When thinking about how bad the Carolina Panthers offense was this season, you can at least try to remind yourself that the team still has something special in wide receiver D.J. Moore.
Moore just capped off his third-straight season with more than 1,000 receiving yards. After hauling in another 87 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he now joins Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs as the only wideout with at least 1,100 receiving yards in each of the last three years.
The former first-round pick has gone through quite a few quarterbacks since being drafted in 2018, and this year might’ve been his toughest season yet with the struggles of Sam Darnold and Cam Newton.
But Moore managed to make the most of it, and he capped it off in an impressive way on Sunday. Something that leaves no doubt as to his importance to Carolina and any chance they have of turning things around in 2022.
Moore did suffer an injury during the game but managed to return. Even if he didn’t really need to given the score at the time.
All we can do is hope that Moore can get more consistent quarterback play moving forward. The player deserves that and it might even take his game to new heights along the way.
