Carolina Panthers could target Brian Robinson Jr.

Another quality draft option for the Carolina Panthers to consider pairing with Christian McCaffrey this offseason is Brian Robinson Jr. The dominant figure enjoyed a fantastic career with the Alabama Crimson Tide and really stepped up after being given additional responsibility during the 2021 season, even though it eventually ended with a national championship defeat to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Robinson is the embodiment of a power running back. He was the physicality to absorb contact well, can find holes in the tightest of windows, and boasts extremely dependable ball security based on his college efforts.

At least from the outside looking in, Robinson represents a fantastic option for the Panthers and someone that would help McCaffrey enormously. However, Carolina is without a Day 2 selection after trades for Sam Darnold and C.J. Henderson, so they’d likely need to recoup some of this if the incoming college recruit becomes a player of interest.

With 1,343 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns last season, Robinson came of age at just the right time. His underrated ability in the passing game is another thing working in his favor, so there is a lot to like about his chances of thriving at the next level.

If the Panthers ended up with Robinson somehow, the benefits would be incredible. Not only for their style of offense but for the potential health of McCaffrey.
