One Free Agent WR Off The Market??

bernardberrian.jpgThe Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Bernard Berrian may receive the franchise tag from the Bears.  You can read the entire story here.

Interesting quote from Drew Rosenhaus

”You never know what your clients may do in free agency,” he said. ”Obviously, guys can be franchised and other guys can get extensions done. I’m just excited. We’ll go into it optimistic and hopeful.”

General manager Jerry Angelo has not ruled out placing the franchise tag on Berrian. It’s the same move that created great consternation for Briggs and Rosenhaus last year. The deadline for a team to designate franchise and transition players is Feb. 21.

Welcome to Fan-Sided.I was hoping the Eagles could sign Berrian. If they franchise him, then that means Lance Briggs will be a free agent then? Rosenscum doesn’t care who they tag as long as one of them reaches free agency.

I’ve never liked Rosenscum.  The guy is a typical money-hungry agent.  I’ll never forget the way he acted during the T.O. disaster.

3 things…1) Welcome to Carolina Cat Crave…look forward to your content2) Why do sports writers, even those in Gaston Gazette say we need someone on the other side of Steve? Don’t we need a "receiving corp" and not just one receiver?3) Why did we lose Mushin Muhammed to Chicago? I would much rather see us go get Moose than acquire 85.

I’m not necessarily a big fan of Ocho Cinco.  He’s a very good receiver but I think he talks too much and that just won’t fit with Fox and this staff.  If the team goes after another WR, expect it to be a guy in the second tier of receivers.  As for Moose, he may have a little too much age on his legs now to be a viable number two.

Moose is going downhill for now, and though chad does talk he backs it up very well. I think he’d be a great pick up even though i’m pretty sure its not going to happen. It would definitly get the running game back to where it was with davis because defenses would be too worried about the passing game. Have Jarrett in the slot, and top that off with not great but decent TE’s. It’d be a sight.
