Mike Wahle has signed a five-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks according to a report from ESPN.  The guard who was just released by the Panthers on Monday due to salary cap restraints, became a pretty popular guy onvernight.

Several teams were interested but the Seahawks won out in the bidding and also presented Wahle with familiar surroundings.

"Wahle’s father played at suburban Bellevue, Wash., High School and at Oregon State. Wahle’s parents have a second home in Bainbridge Island, Wash., across the bay from downtown Seattle. And the family has many relatives in the Northwest.“The Seahawks definitely had a home-field advantage with Mike,” agent Neil Cornrich said in a telephone interview from Cleveland."

Also, Wahle will be reunited with Mike Holmgren who drafted him just prior to his final season with the Green Bay Packers.
