Kris Jenkins Moving?

krisjenkins.jpgThe Rock Hill Herald ran a very interesting article in their online edition early this morning.  It seems that Kris Jenkins, the Panthers’ starting defensive tackle, has his house up for sale.

According to the article, Jenkins moved out of the house last year and has stepped up his efforts to sell the property.  That’s certainly not something someone usually does if they are planning to remain in the neighborhood.  It’s not terribly surprising since Jenkins has reportedly been unhappy in Charlotte for quite a while.

If a deal is made to move him, the Panthers could be relying on Damione Lewis to take Jenkins’ spot along the defensive line.  We’ll keep our ears open for any more developments.

This is not breaking news I responding on this last week ..check the comments!anyways I think this time around we will atleast get a 2nd rounder for him. There still noway he gets a 1st!I believe he will get traded this time for sure, so do you think we pick up a DT in the 2nd or someone from the free agent pool WHEN he gets traded. There are no good DT’s when we pick at 13 ,so a 2nd rounder is more likly. WHat do you think of Frank Okam(DT)?He has dropped down from the mock drafts, but could be a freak and could be had in the 3rd,but more likly in the 2nd. Dre Moore,Red Bryant are few more to keep your eyes on aswell!

I have seen your mock and Philips is not a bad choice. I guess if that did happen we would have to get a LT or DE through the free agent pool.Should be a fun offseason to wacth! Here is interesting news! putting his house up for sale! This could be nothing or it could be a sign!February 13th, 2008 at 2:24 pm

The team could be thinking of putting Lewis in Jenkins’ spot.  I’m not sure I agree with it but they could be thinking that way.  I like Okam a lot but he’s probably at least a second rounder.  I’m wondering if the team will approach a free agent DT.  Maybe not one of the top ones but a second-tier guy.

If DT is addressed early in the draft, I’d love to see them go after either Pat Sims or Kentwan Balmer, though that could involve moving up in the 2nd or trading Jenkins for a high-2nd round pick.
