You make a good point, Ian.  And DeSean is kind of small.  I was thinking of his speed but then the Eagles are a lot like the Panthers.  Neither team spends high draft picks on skill players very often.  You're probably right about DeSean going elsewhere.

I am really sold on Chris Johnson in the 2nd. We still can bolster our Oline with the first pick and we still can get a good HB in round two. Otah with the 1st and Johnson with 2nd and that would be a good combo.  Johnson can help our S/T out big time along with the fact he can catch and has good vision. He is going to be good in the NFL mark my words. Thats why a 1st round HB makes no sence when the draft is very deep with HB's. Scout.com has Johnsony rated a 5star recruit and he could be had in the 2nd according just about every mock I have seen. Plus that fact he runs a 4.2 and you can not teach that along with the fact he is a home town boy. Otah,Johnson what a combo with the 1st  two picks. The Eagles already have a smallish WR with great speed in Kevin Curtis. They need a bigger target who has a knack for scoing TDs.

Thank, JB!  I agree that we can't make that mistake again.  No running back is going to do well behind a patch-work offensive line.  There's a good chance that the five guys up front this season will all either be new or starting in a new position.  That's bad news.  But at least we need to make sure that those five guys are the best five we can have.

Nice mock! very nice!I was going to throw up if I saw a HB there. You had a very good point about our Oline aswell. If wharton goes back to tackle we are screwed and it want matter which HB we get. We all seen what a first round HB did without a good Oline last time, so why should we make the same misstake twice.

I woudn't mind getting Harvey and would love to get Clady since I think he's the best overal offensive lineman.  But I just have this feeling that it comes down to Williams or Otah.  If a trade down can be pulled off, maybe Cherilus is a possibility late in the first if they can gain another second-rounder.

I like the pick. I've advocated taking a RB #1 earlier this off-season, but after doing a couple of mocks, it comes down to... the only way they take Mendenhall is if Jake Long, Clady, Otah & Harvey are all off the board. And even then... only if they can't trade down.
