The Forecast – Rain

In recent weeks, residents of the Charlotte area have seen one thing and an awful lot of it – rain.  No doubt, many of us have to be feeling like we’re living in Seattle.  That’s nice if you’re the next lead singer of a grunge band that’s been practicing in your garage but not so nice if you’re heading out to a football game.

So, what outlook do weather forecasters have for this Saturday’s playoff game when our Carolina Panthers take on the Arizona Cardinals?  You guessed it – rain.

Great!  So we can all grab umbrellas and do our best Gene Kelly impressions but this could be nasty.  The week calls for rain Wednesday and Thursday with more on Saturday.  This will give the grounds crew at Bank of America Stadium something to do.

What condition will the field be in?  Will the rain subside prior to kickoff?  Who benefits from wet conditions more?

The football gods can answer those questions but for now the weathermen are stealing the show with their forecasts – rain.
