Yes! Yes! Yes! Did you see the CAROLINA PANTHERS finally won their first game of the 2009-2010 season? It was hard to watch in the first half but we saw it through. The defense started to rally back into the game with Thomas Davis and Julius Peppers coming together with the sack in the end zone. WOW! Did Jake Delhomme come up big in the 4th quarter with a run to the first down line that concealed the win. Everette Brown and Na’il Diggs both had a forced fumble. Julius Peppers came up big today with two sacks with Thomas Davis and John Beason both having a sack. The Carolina defense was good at stopping the Redskins running game. Jake Delhomme had a decent game 16/25, 181 yards TD, INT and throwing a touchdown pass to Jeff King, but what I really liked about Jake today is that he was leading the touchdown play which lead Jonathan Stewart to the end zone. He threw the 2 pt. conversion to Steve Smith. If the Panthers stick with the running game and the defense comes up big, the Panthers can keep winning. The big play that leads Carolina to that touchdown run was the special team play that put us in great field position. Next week we will be heading to Tampa Bay to play the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is (0-5) with quarterback problems so Carolina should be able to win that game. My advice for this week is to stick with the running game and for Jake stop sitting in the pocket for so long.  The offensive line can only hold the defense for so long.
